All drawings, specifications, and other documents prepared by the Architect are Instruments of Service and remain the property of the Architect.

The Owner is granted a limited license to use these documents solely for the construction and maintenance of this specific Project. This license cannot be transferred or used for any other purpose without the Architect's written consent.

Any unauthorized use of the Instruments of Service, including use on another project or for alterations without the Architect's involvement, is at the Owner's sole risk and liability. The Owner agrees to defend and indemnify the Architect against any claims or costs arising from such unauthorized use.

Submittal Log

Review of this submittal by the Architect is for the limited purpose of checking for general conformance with the design concept and information provided in the Contract Documents. The Architect’s review does not extend to, and is not a review of, the accuracy or completeness of details, such as dimensions and quantities, or for the coordination of the work with other trades.

The Architect is not responsible for the means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures of construction.

This review does not relieve the Contractor of their responsibility for errors or omissions in the submittal or for fulfilling all requirements of the Contract Documents.

Any proposed deviations from the Contract Documents must be specifically and clearly identified by the Contractor in writing at the time of submission. Review of a submittal by the Architect containing an unnoted deviation does not constitute approval of that deviation. The Architect's review of a specific item shall not constitute approval of an assembly of which the item is a component.
